Minix-Rogers Breaks School Record In Loss To Bluejays

West Haven, CT. – The Anna Maria College men's basketball team traveled down to West Haven, CT to face off against the University of St. Joseph Bluejays in the GNAC Conference Quarterfinals. The AMCATS lost the game 101-62.

After falling behind early to the Bluejays, the AMCATS struggled to fight their way back throughout the first half.

Hayden Braga (Foster, RI) led the charge for the AMCATS in the first half with nine points. The AMCATS closed out the first twenty minutes of play trailing behind the Bluejays 41-21.

After halftime the AMCATS Scratched back with everything that they had however the Bluejays would prove to be too much for Anna Maria to handle. Putting up 41 points in the second half the AMCATS closed out the game behind the Bluejays 101-62.

Gabe Armstead (Dallas, GA) led the AMCATS with 17 points in the effort against the Bluejays.

Kennedy Minix-Rogers (Smyrna, GA) collected seven points and five rebounds on the night to help him pass Tim O'Brien (Class of '96) as Anna Maria Colleges All Time Assist Leader, with 475 assists in 96 games played as an AMCAT! 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Kennedy Minix-Rogers closed out his college basketball career with 96 games played, 674 points, 307 rebounds and 475 assists.
  • Head Coach Shawn Conrad closed out his 16th season at Anna Maria College.
