Women’s Basketball Pulls Past Lyons In The Second Half

PAXTON, MA: On Thursday evening, the Anna Maria College women's basketball team hosted the Mount Holyoke College Lyons in the Fuller Gymnasium. The AMCATS 

THE BASICS:

• Date: Thursday, December 8, 2022
• Score: Anna Maria 69, Mount Holyoke 49
• Records: Anna Maria AMCATS 2-5 | Mount Holyoke Lyons 1-8

HIGHLIGHTS

• The AMCATS started the game out going back and forth with the Lyons keeping things close throughout the first quarter. 
• After ten minutes of play the AMCATS held a two point lead over the Lyons.
• The Lyons clawed back and tied the AMCATS in the second quarter with Anna Maria still leading by two point going into the second half of the game. 
• Chloe Giordano and Marinique Reddin led the AMCATS in the first half with 8 points a piece to help hold the lead as they closed out the half.
• In the third quarter the AMCATS pulled away from the Lyons increasing their lead by nine points. 
• After a 10 point fourth quarter from Reddin the AMCATS are too much for the Lyons closing the game out at 69-49.
• Reddin had 23 points leading the AMCATS in the win. Giordano also put up 14 points to help push the AMCATS past Mount Holyoke.
