Women’s Basketball Falls Short To Blue Jays

PAXTON, MA: On Saturday afternoon, the Anna Maria College women's basketball team hosted the University of St. Joseph's (CT) Blue Jays at the Fuller Gymnasium in Paxton, MA. The AMCATS fall in conference action, 68-56.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The AMCATS kept things close to start the game trailing by only three points to end the first quarter.
  • Chloe Giordano paced the AMCATS with seven points in the first quarter.
  • Anna Maria kept the pressure on through the second quarter scoring 19 points, just under the Blue Jays 21. The AMCATS trailed by five going into the second half.
  • After half time the Blue Jays came out flying dropping 21 points on the AMCATS. 
  • Anna Maria turned things around in the forth quarter out scoring the Blue Jays 16-10 but it wasn't enough to come out with the win as they fell by 12 points at the end of the game.
  • Marinique Reddin posted team-high 15 points with Gina Parmenter adding 12 points.
