AMCAT Football Recognized On ECFC All-Academic Team

PAXTON, MA: 17 student-athletes from the Anna Maria College football team were named to the 2021 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) All-Academic Team as announced by the conference on Wednesday.

In addition, 32 AMCATS were named to the ECFC Academic Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the ECFC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have earned a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.3 or higher following the 2021 fall semester. Additionally, all honorees must be at least a sophomore in standing with a minimum two years of participation on the football team.

All seven ECFC institutions had honorees named to the All-Academic team, with 105 student-athletes in total recognized. Castleton University led the way with 26 individuals honored.

The ECFC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes that achieved a 3.0 or higher cumulative or fall semester-based G.P.A. Further, freshmen and first-year transfer student-athletes are eligible for the recognition.

The AMCATS are coming off an historic season that saw them win their first ECFC Championship in school history.
