McMillian Named ECFC Offensive Player Of The Week
PAXTON, MA : Senior wide receiver Justin McMillian (Middletown, CT) of the Anna Maria College football team was recognized as the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 7, 2021 as announced by the conference on Monday.
McMillan had the best performance by an AMCAT receiver in nearly a decade on Saturday against the Bison of Gallaudet, catching eight passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns. His three scores tie an Anna Maria single-game record while his 211 yards were the second-most in school history.
Not since former Anna Maria great Dom Concepcion on November 10, 2012 against Husson University – a 17-reception performance that saw him record three scores and 236 receiving yards – has an AMCAT receiver produced such a performance.
With their come-from-behind 37-21 win over Gallaudet University, Anna Maria is now 5-1 in conference play and one win away from claiming their first ECFC Championship.

Anna Maria will be back on the field next Saturday in their regular season finale when they host SUNY Maritime in a pivotal 1:00 p.m. game. Hanging in the balance will be the ECFC Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Prior to the game, the AMCATS will be recognizing their outgoing senior class – including McMillian – as part of senior day.
