Wallace Takes Second ECFC Rookie Of The Week
PAXTON, MA : Sophomore wide receiver Deandre Wallace (Waterbury, CT) of the Anna Maria College football team was recognized as the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 17, 2021 as announced by the conference on Monday.
Wallace continued to produce one of the most electrifying seasons by a rookie in country this past Saturday during the AMCATS' 28-17 win at Alfred State, tallying five receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Wallace was responsible for both of Anna Maria's second-half scores, including a 48-yard touchdown reception from Cohen with 5:18 to go in the third that would represent the eventual game-winning score.
It is Wallace's second ECFC Rookie of the Week award this season, as he previously was so recognized for the week ending September 26th. It is the third time an AMCAT was been awarded the Rookie of the Week this season.

Anna Maria will be back on the field next Saturday when they play host to Dean College in a 1:30 p.m. game as part of Homecoming Weekend.
