Football Sacked by Gallaudet 27-13

WASHINGTON, DC: The Anna Maria College football team traveled to meet Galludet University on Saturday afternoon for Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) action at Hotchkiss Field.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

• Sophomore quarterback Ryan Russell (West Springfield, MA) saw his first extended run of action this season when he took over in the second quarter. Cohen finished the game 26-37 with 240 yards and a touchdown. He also contributed 32 yards on four rushing attempts.
• One of Russell's primary targets was sophomore wide receiver Devin Tolbert (Salem, MA) had a game-high eight catches and 86 yards through the air, and a touchdown
• Junior running back Kahlil Bowens (Randolph, MA) accounted for the AMCATS other touchdown when he scored on a four-yard run with 5:30 remaining in the fourth quarter to cut the Bisons' lead to 19-13 at the time.
• The AMCAT defense was led by sophomore defensive lineman Jordan Martin (Farmington, CT) with a game-high 10 tackles. It was the most tackles Martin has had this season and tied his career-high set against Keystone last season.

Anna Maria will be in action again on Saturday when they will travel to Franklin, MA to meet another Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) foe, the Dean College Bulldogs at the Longley Athletic Complex. The teams will take the field for a noon kickoff.
