ECFC Announces 2022 Academic Honorees
KILLINGWORTH, Conn. - The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) announced its academic awards for the fall of 2022 on Wednesday, January 25th.
The conference bestows two academic honors annually: the ECFC All-Academic Team and the ECFC Academic Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the ECFC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.3 or higher following the 2022 fall semester. Additionally, all honorees must be at least a sophomore in standing with a minimum of two years of participation on the football team. All seven ECFC institutions had honorees named to the All-Academic Team, with 94 student-athletes in total recognized.
The ECFC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes that achieved a 3.0 or higher cumulative or fall semester-based G.P.A. if a first-year. Further, freshmen and first-year transfer student-athletes are eligible for the recognition. In total, 155 student-athletes from all seven member institutions earned Academic Honor Roll recognition
The 2022 Anna Maria College Football team had 11 student-athletes named to the ECFC All-Academic Team, with an additional 23 student-athletes being placed on the Academic Honor Roll combining for a total of 34 players with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
