Volleyball Pounced by Wildcats

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Volleyball team fell to #2 Johnson & Wales early this afternoon in conference action while on the road in Providence.

 

Final Score: 3-0, set scores of 25-7, 25-7, and 25-10.

 

The Wildcats (24-1, 10-0 GNAC) shared the wealth as nine players combined for the thirty-four kills. Johnson & Wales offense was led by Tiah Scott who finished with eight kills in the match. Kat Carrel was the second highest scorer as she finished with seven kills. Brylee Frank was the sole distributor for the Wildcats as she put together twenty-seven assists.

 

The AMCATS (3-22, 0-10 GNAC) were led by Jenna Grande (Whitman, Mass.) who finished with three kills and three digs. Sarah Lathrop (Waterford, Conn.) continues to be the lead setter for Anna Maria as she finished with eight assists.

 

Johnson & Wales will head out next to play Hunter this Friday at 3:00PM.

 

Anna Maria will be back at home this Tuesday the 23rd, when they will take on Worcester State at 7:00PM.
