PROVIDENCE, RI. – On Tuesday, October 24th the Anna Maria College women's volleyball team traveled to Providence, RI to take on the Rhode Island College Anchormen for a non-conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the match 3-0.
Going down early in the first set the AMCATS would battle hard to stay in the mix as the set played on. Keeping within 3-4 points of the Anchormen for most of the set, RIC managed to pull away late in the set to make it a 25-18 set win over the AMCATS. The AmMCATS would start the second set much stronger before the Anchormen managed a swift comeback taking the lead and pulling away from the AMCATS for a 25-13 set win making it a 2-0 game. With one set left the AMCATS fought hard to try and stay alive but would ultimately fall to the Anchormen 25-18 for three straight sets.
