Volleyball Drops Two In Home Tri-Match

PAXTON, MA. – On Friday, October 27th the Anna Maria College women's volleyball team hosted the Colby-Sawyer Chargers and the Simmons University Sharks for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tri-Match. The AMCATS lost both matches.

The AMCATS opened up the evening against the Colby-Sawyer Chargers. The First set opened with some back and forth before the Chargers pulled away for a score of 25-18. The AMCATS would manage a closer final two sets each ending in a score of 25-20 in favor of the Chargers. The first game of the day would end with three straight set wins from the Chargers.

The AMCATS took on the Simmons University Sharks for game two of the evening. The Sharks came out strong in the first set pulling away from the AMCATS with a 25-15 win to start the match. The AMCATS would come back strong however pulling out a hard fought 25-23 win over the Sharks in the second set. Tied up at one set a piece the Sharks would turn on the jets for the next two sets, dominating over the AMCATS for a 25-13 win and a 25-10 win closing out the night with a 3-1 win over the AMCATS.
