Women’s Volleyball Nipped By the Bulldogs

PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team welcomed Dean College on Thursday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Fuller Activities Center.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Senior outside hitter Bella Kozciak (Westfield, MA) led the AMCATS with 13 kills to tie her season high. Koziak also added in three service aces and 10 digs in an all-around effort. Overall, she scored a season-high 16 points.
  • It was a strong attack day for the AMCATS who also saw senior middle blocker Ryann Hassett (North Oxford, MA) and junior outside hitter Sarah Burt (Plymouth, MA) put up nine and eight kills to account for 13 and 9.5 points.
  • Senior libero Serena Dennis (Holyoke, MA) topped the AMCATS with 26 digs, the most she has had since recording 29 against Mass Maritime on September 3rd. Dennis also matched Koziak with three service aces.
  • Freshman setter Isabella Sand (Seymour, CT) and junior setter Julia Tarantino (Pembroke, MA) topped the assist category for the AMCATS with 17 and 13 respectively.

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be in action again on Wednesday when they travel to Northfield, VT for a tri-match with the host Norwich University Cadets and the Regis College Pride. The teams will take the court for a 1 PM start.
