Women’s Volleyball Puts Up A Fight Against Bison

PAXTON, MA. – On Monday, September 11th the Anna Maria College women's volleyball team hosted the Nichols College Bison for a non-conference matchup. The Bison won the match 3-1.

Struggling to keep up with the Bison in the first two sets, the AMCATS were able to keep themselves alive with a 25-21 win in set number three. With an opportunity to tie things up in the fourth set, the AMCATS battled hard but fell short cosigning their final set 25-19 against the Bison resulting in a 3-1 evening for Anna Maria.

-Julia Tarantino earned 12 assists with three serving aces and 10 digs.

-Jana Hunt led the team with 15 digs.

-Shae Savoie led the team in kills with eight on 30 total attempts.

-Patty Agbeh led the team in points with 9.5 on the evening.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • This was the AMCATS first meeting with the Bison since 2018.
