Trailblazers Scratch Past Women’s Volleyball

PAXTON, MA. – On Tuesday, October 3rd the Anna Maria College Women's Volleyball team hosted the MCLA Trailblazers for a non-conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the match 3-0.

After a quick start from the Trailblazers in the first set, the AMCATS manage to scrape back into the conversation making it a 15-13 set before MCLA pulled away for a 25-16 set win to start the match. Unfortunately the second set of the evening wouldn't go much better for the AMCATS as they fought to come back from behind but were met with a flurry of points from the Trailblazers to close the set out 25-18. Trailing two sets to zero, the AMCATS found new life in the third set managing to keep things tight, even going point for point with the Trailblazers. Unfortunately the Trailblazers would turn on the gas yet again, pulling away from the AMCATS to close out the third and final set 25-17. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Serena Dennis led the AMCATS with 11 digs in the match.
• Jana Hunt manage 14 kills for the AMCATS.
• Julia Tarantino posted 15 assists for the AMCATS.

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, October 7th where they will head to Boston, MA for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tri-Match against the Emmanuel College Saints and the Albertus Magnus Falcons. First match starts at 10:00am.
