PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Volleyball team was defeated by the Pride of Regis College in conference action 3-0, with set scores of 25-6, 25-5, and 25-12 in Weston Massachusetts this evening.
The Pride (10-12, 3-5 GNAC) had thirty-six total kills in the contest with sixteen coming from Katryna Veasey, who led all in offensive scoring. Regis' Tori Ondris also contributed with twenty-one total assists throughout the contest.
Anna Maria (3-21, 0-9 GNAC) had four players lead the team in offense combining for eight of the nine kills. Jenna Grande (Whitman, Mass.), Tayler Hoffstedt (Lanesborough, Mass.), Sarah Lathrop (Waterford, Conn.), and Chloe Vella (Leominster, Mass.) were those sole contributers to the AMCATS offense.
Regis will be back on the court this Saturday the 20th as they travel to play Norwich.
The AMCATS will be traveling to nationally ranked 3rd Johnson & Wales Saturday to play at 1:00PM.
