Volleyball Clawed by Lions

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria volleyball team lost to Mount Holyoke in non-conference action this evening 3-0, with set scores of 25-10, 25-13, and 25-11 in South Hadley.

 

The Lions (6-4) attack was led by Jamesa Allen as she hit double digits in kills with fourteen. She was followed by Isabell Linde and Sarah Caggiano who both tallied five kills apiece. Mount Holyoke setter Brayden Walden accumulated nineteen assists throughout the contest to top the leader board.

 

The AMCATS (1-8) offense was led by Sarah Lathrop (Waterford, Conn.) and Chloe Vella (Leominster, Mass.) who both had two kills. Anna Maria setter Julia Ramos (Orange, Mass.) compiled six assists on the night.

 

Mount Holyoke will be back on the court this Saturday the 22nd at 12:00 PM to face Emerson College.

 

Anna Maria will be back on the road this Saturday the 22nd as they travel to Framingham State. The AMCATS will be playing in a tri-match against Framingham State and Eastern Conn. St. Action against Framingham will start at 11:00 AM, as ECS will be at 1:00 PM.
