PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Volleyball team fell to Fisher College this evening in non-conference action 3-0, with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, and 25-11, in the Fuller Center.
The Falcons (10-8) offense was able to put together a thirty-nine kill night led by Maura Lammers with fourteen. Right behind her was Yeryvel Catala who tallied ten kills of her own throughout the match. Fisher was led in assists by Lia Aime who capitalized on twenty-one of the thirty-nine opportunities.
The AMCATS (3-18) Tayler Hoffstedt (Lanesborough, Mass.) led the team in offense with six kills. Chloe Vella (Leominster, Mass.) contributed three kills along with two blocks, one solo and an assisted block. Senior Sarah Lathrop (Waterford, Conn.) made her mark in a new spot as she moved over to setter and gathered twelve assists for a team high.
Fisher will be back on the court this Friday the 12th at 7:00 PM as Mass Maritime will travel to them.
Anna Maria will be back this Saturday for a tri-match with conference opponent Suffolk at 11:00 AM and Curry College at 1:00 PM.
