Leighton Earns All-Sportsmanship Recognition

WINTHROP, Mass.--The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its All-Conference selections and other major award winners on Monday. Paige Leighton (Georgetown, Mass.) of the Women's Soccer team was named to the All-Sportmanship team to earn Anna Maria recognition in this season's selections.
Guven Steps Down as Women's Soccer Coach

PAXTON, Mass.—Anna Maria College Athletic Director Serge DeBari announced today that head women’s soccer coach Taskin Guven has stepped down. A search for his replacement will begin immediately.

The Anna Maria College women’s soccer team dropped to JWU on a rainy Friday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at AMCAT field. The game was called in the 71st minute of play due to lightening. With the loss, the AMCATS drop to 2-14 overall and 1-10 in GNAC play, while the Wildcats improve to 14-2-3 overall and 9-0-2 in league action
