AMCATS and Colonels washed out on Wednesday

PAXTON, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference Baseball Championship tournament game between Anna Maria College and Curry College scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed due to poor weather and field conditions. The playoff match-up has been rescheduled for Thursday at 3:00 pm. The site of the contest has yet to be decided, so please check the Anna Maria College website for updates later today.

The sixth-seeded AMCATS and seventh-seeded Colonels both lost their opening round games on Tuesday. The AMCATS dropped a 5-0 decision to #3 Endicott, while the Colonels were outscored by #2 Roger Williams 9-4. Anna Maria and Curry split a doubleheader earlier in the year, with the Colonels pulling out a 4-3 extra-inning win in game one, before senior Brendon Tivnan tossed a complete game shutout to lead the AMCATS to a 5-0 victory in the nightcap.

UPDATE: The make-up game will be held at Worcester Academy's New Balance Field.
