Men's Lacrosse in GNAC Semi-Final
Paxton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team will travel today to Mount Ida College to take on the Mustangs in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Semi-Final round. Anna Maria, seeded #3 in the tournament, advanced to the semi-finals with a 16-9 win over Becker College on Wednesday night. The Mustangs, seeded #2, make their way into to match-up via a 10-3 win over Emmanuel College. Opening face-off is slated for 4:00pm.
Anna Maria dropped a 15-7 decision to Mt. Ida during the regular season. AMC was led by Chris Summers' three points and Jason Bakers' two goals. Netminder Andrew Ellis had 11 saves between the pipes.
The team who captures the GNAC title will be awarded an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
