Parker, Scafidi Earn GNAC Honor Roll

Paxton, Mass. – AMCATS' Jacob Parker and Jeff Scafidi each earned a spot on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Honor Roll for their respective sports as announced by the conference on Monday night.

Parker, a member of the men's lacrosse team, led the AMCATS not in goals and assists but in face-offs to control the tempo of the game and help pace the AMCATS to a 2-0 week in conference play. In a GNAC match-up against Rivier the first year player was an incredible 16-of-19 in face-offs won. He also scooped up 4 ground balls and had a caused turnover.

In a monster week for Scafidi, the senior baseball player set the All-Time Home Run record for AMC hitting his 14th career home run vs. Norwich in an 11-3 win. On the week the he hit .500 with a slugging percentage of 1.200 and an OBP of .565. In 6 games, he collected 10 hits in 20 at-bats including a double, 2 triples, 3 home runs and 8 RBI's. Scafidi also scored 8 runs and earned 3 walks for Anna Maria. He led AMC to a 3-1 GNAC week picking up the win on the mound vs. Johnson & Wales. In a sweep of Norwich on Sunday Scafidi hit two home runs including a 346 deep drive to break the All-Time record.

Men's lacrosse returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Norwich for a 4:00 pm GNAC match-up, while baseball hosts Suffolk University in a GNAC doubleheader starting at 2:00 pm at Wachusett Regional High School.
