Simpson Named GNAC Player of the Week
Paxton, Mass. – Senior Blake Simpson (Warwick, RI) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday evening.
Simpson, who tallied 9 points in two games, led the AMCATS to a 2-0 week in GNAC play. In a 19-6 conference win over Rivier the attack scored 5 goals with 2 helpers. He also scored 2 huge goals in the second half of a 9-7 win over Emmanuel.
Simpson is currently third in scoring for the AMCATS with 18 goals and 6 assists for 24 points on the season.
The team returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Norwich for a 4pm GNAC tilt.
