Click Named to D3Hoops.com All-Northeast 2nd Team

Paxton, MA. – Anna Maria College men's basketball player Anthony Click (Springfield, MA) was named to the D3hoops.com 2013 All-Northeast Region second team, as announced by the web site. Click earned 4th team status in 2012.


Click, a senior guard, was one of 20 players in the region honored by the site. Players were nominated by sports information directors at various schools, and a total of 729 players were nominated nationwide. Regional voting was then conducted among SIDs. Team sizes were determined by the number of schools in each region.

The honor is added to an already decorated season for Click, who was also tabbed Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Year, repeated as an All-GNAC First Team selection and earned ECAC New England Division III second team honors.


Click led the league in minutes played, assists and steals while averaging 19.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in conference play. A complete player, Click led the AMCATS to a 21-9 overall record and a conference best 16-2 record, earing Anna Maria the GNAC regular season title and the #1 seed in the GNAC Tournament.

Click ended his 107-game career with 1,772 points (16.6 ppg.) and 766 rebounds (7.2), 143 blocks and 354 assists ranking him third all-time in both points and rebounds.

Anna Maria also set a school record with a 17-game win streak. The 'Cats hosted the GNAC Finals but suffered a tough 87-80 loss to Albertus Magnus. Anna Maria's season ended in the ECAC semi-finals to eventual champions Eastern Connecticut State University.
