Peterson reaches 1,000 as AMC rolls off fifth straight GNAC win
PAXTON, Mass. – Post graduate Brad Peterson (North Kingstown, RI) sank two free-throws late in the game to become the 21st player in AMCAT men's basketball history to reach the 1,000 career point milestone as Anna Maria downed Rivier University 57-50 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action tonight at The Fuller Activities Center. The AMCATS are now riding a five game win streak in conference play and improve to 7-7 (5-2 GNAC) while the Raiders drop to 6-8 (2-5 GNAC).
Senior Anthony Click (Springfield, MA) led AMC with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Junior Joey Barillo (Dania Beach, FL), senior Javier Bristol (Haverhill, MA) and Peterson each contributed 9 points, while Bristol was the team leader with 9 rebounds.
