Women's Soccer Caught by the Sharks of Simmons

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria AMCATS were defeated by the Sharks of Simmons University this evening in conference play by a score of 10-1 in Boston Massachusetts.

 

Simmons (6-3, 4-1 GNAC) had two players score multiple goals in the contest, starting with Gabriella Cacia who had two goals on five shots. Ciara Forde also contributed two goals of her own in the match on just three total shots. Throughout the contest the Sharks had six others score individual goals.

 

The AMCATS (0-10, 0-6 GNAC) were again led by junior Shannon LeBlanc (Lancaster, Mass.) as she was able to tally the only goal in the game for Anna Maria. She was able to do so in the 65th minute off of a free kick that was 25 yards out.

 

The Sharks will be back on the field this Saturday as they take on another GNAC foe in Regis, with action starting at 1:30 PM.

 

Anna Maria will be back this Friday the 28th as they head on the road to Maine to play the Monks of Saint Josephs in another GNAC battle with a 7:30 PM start.
