AMCATS Break Scoreless Streak in Loss to Norwich

 

Paxton, Mass: Anna Maria women's soccer fell to Norwich University this afternoon in conference action 9-1, in Northfield Vermont.

 

Norwich (6-0, 3-0 GNAC) came out looking to put the ball in the net as they went into halftime up 7-0. The Cadets were led by junior Kaila Lemmer who put together a two goal afternoon on six shots. Lemmer was followed by sophomore Kyra Schoenfeld who had one goal on four shots. Mary-Kait Mace contributed two assists for the Cadets in the contest.  

 

Anna Maria (0-5, 0-3 GNAC) junior Samantha Seniti (Medford, Mass.) scored the lone goal in the 77th minute, ending the scoreless streak by the AMCATS. Rachel Matloff (Grafton, Mass.) had ten saves for Anna Maria on nineteen shots faced.

 

The Cadets will be on the road next Wednesday the 19th, to face another conference opponent in Colby-Sawyer at 3:30 PM.

 

The AMCATS will continue on the road Monday the 17th, against Mitchell College, action starting at 3:30 PM.
