Dalbec Named GNAC Woman of the Year

WINTHROP, Mass. – Anna Maria College’s Kylie Dalbec, a four-year field hockey standout, has been selected as the 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Woman of the Year, as announced by the GNAC office on Tuesday morning.
GNAC Announces Four Finalists for 2016 Woman of the Year Award

WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference is pleased to announce its four finalists for the 2016 GNAC Woman of the Year Award, as announced on Wednesday afternoon. The winner will be announced next month on July 26 and ultimately put forth for the NCAA Woman of the Year as the conference’s representative.

Paxton, Mass.— Throughout the fall season three AMCATS were granted weekly honors from the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). Mary Kate Breen (Londonderry, N.H.) of the field hockey team, freshman James Bowhile (Worcester, Mass.) of the men’s soccer team and Mike Sinto (Long Beach, N.Y.), a junior linebacker for the AMCATS were all recognized for their outstanding performances.

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Alexisse Clinger scored her eighth goal of the season in the fourth minute and Salve Regina led for the remainder of the match as the second-seeded Seahawks closed out a 4-3 victory over third seed Anna Maria in the ECAC New England field hockey tournament hosted by Smith College.

PAXTON, Mass.—After hard-fought seasons both the AMCAT Field Hockey and Volleyball teams have earned spots to compete in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament. The 2015 ECAC Fall Championships will feature 13 championship events in four sports, including women's volleyball, field hockey, and men's and women's soccer.

Kaitlyn Moran (Leicester, Mass.) and Shelby Looney (Leicester, Mass.) have both earned spots on the GNAC All-Conference Second Team.
