Denver Earns GNAC Corvias Player of the Week Honors
WINTHROP, Mass.—Sophomore Nicole Denver (Springfield, Mass.) of the Anna Maria College field hockey team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
It marks the first time this season that Denver earns the league's weekly honor.
DENVER'S WEEK
Denver totaled two goals in a 1-0 week for the AMCATS. She netted both goals in the AMCATS 5-1 victory over Mount Ida in the first round of GNAC tournament play on Saturday. Denver had six shots in the game.
Denver is the AMCATS' leading goal scorer with a total of 15 goals this season. She is third in total points for the AMCATS with 15 goals and one assist for a total of 31 points. Currently, Denver holds the second place spot in total goals in the GNAC.

With the first round victory the AMCATS now travel to Saint Joseph's (Maine) for the semi-final game at Deering Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, November 4 starting at 6:45 p.m.
