Softball Shutout by Cougars 5-0

WORCESTER, MA: On Tuesday evening, the Anna Maria College Softball traveled down the road to faceoff with the Clark University Cougars in a non-conference matchup at Rooftop Field.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The AMCATS offense was limited to three hits, a first-inning single by graduate student pitcher Sabrina Liston (Rehoboth, MA), a sixth-inning leadoff single by senior right fielder Kendall McNamee (Somers, CT), and a seventh-inning double by senior third baseman Sam Dahill (Littleton, MA).
  • Liston took the tough luck loss, allowing three runs on four hits over four innings. Junior Eden Forget (Worcester, MA) came on in relief and allowed two unearned runs while striking out two in two innings.
  • Erin Slavin had the big hit for the Cougars when she led off the third inning with a solo home run to left field.
  • Brooke Buzzeo threw a complete game shutout for the Cougars, striking out six and improving her record to 3-2.

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be back in action on Sunday when they will travel to Providence, RI to meet the Roger Williams University Hawks at Paolino Field for a doubleheader. The first pitch is scheduled for noon.
