Men's Hockey Ties against Chatham

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Men's Hockey Team Tied this afternoon with Chatham College in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania 2-2, while competing in non-conference action.

 

After a scoreless first period Chatham (4-9-1) was able to get on the board first, at 15:29 into the second period with a goal from Cory King. He was assisted on the play by Tristian Simm and Clay Plyler to go up 1-0.

 

The AMCATS (4-9-4) were able to tie it up, two minutes later with a goal from David Tmej (Bradenton, FL) off a feed from Aleksandr Makarov (Indian Trail, NC) and Patrick Manning (Messena, NY). After two periods the Cougars and Anna Maria were all knotted up at 1-1.

 

It only took three minutes into the third period for the Cats' to take their first lead of the game. The goal came on a power play from Sam Cyr-Ledoux (Montreal, QC) off of a dish from Nick Kukuris (Littleton, CO) and Manning. For nine more minutes the AMCATS would hold the 2-1 before the Cougars would tie it up again.

 

Chris Lutz was able to finish on a pass that he received from Michael Lamison and Mathew Ho to even up the score at 2-2 where it would stay for the remainder of the period and the overtime period.

Brain Baker allowed 2 goals and accumulated 29 saves.

 

Brendan Boncore (Oakland, MI) allowed 2 goals and had 44 saves on the day.
