Men's Hockey Scores Three Third Period Goals to Tie Wentworth

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Men's Hockey team came back in the third period to tie Wentworth 3-3 in non-conference action.

 

Wentworth (1-3-3) struck first ten minutes into the first period off the stick of Nate Chase. The Leopards would strike again, but not until the second period when Connor Busch found the back of the net on a power play with assists given to Ethan Weiss and Jake McKenelley.

 

The AMCATS (0-3-1) go on to score two straight goals at the start of the third period. Gavin Proeh (Highland Park, IL) would get his first of two goals just under 4 minutes into the period on a power play, off a pass from teammate Jackson Dobek (Natick, Mass.). The second goal in the period came from Quinn Tucker (Hancock, NH) off of another pass from Dobek, tying the game at 2 apiece.

 

Just under thirteen minutes into the period Georgy Gorodetsky of Wentworth would sneak one passed the AMCAT tender from Adam Tracy and Nate Chase to go up 3-2.

 

Anna Maria would answer back with just two minutes left as Proeh was able to beat the Leopards goalie with assists coming from Sam Cyr-Ledoux (Montreal, QC) and Aleksandr Makarov (Indian Trail, NC) to tie it up 3-3. This goal would be the last of the game.

Brendan Boncore (T, 0-2-1) (Oakland, MI) 3 goals allowed, 40 saves.
