PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Volleyball team was swept this morning in Boston while playing in a non-conference match against Wentworth 3-0 with set scores of 25-7, 25-7, and 25-5.
The Leopard's (13-2) attack was led by Jade Iadarola and Caroline Rupp as they finished the match will eight kills apiece. They were closely followed by Krisila Hammett and Devin Neal who tallied seven kills of their own. Wentworth also had two setters in double digits for assists, Mary Zlotosch who had nineteen and Maddy Tomastik who had fifteen.
The AMCATS (1-12) Taylor Hoffstedt (Lanesborough, Mass.) and Sarah Lathrop (Waterford, Conn.) led the team in kills as they both ended the match with three. Anna Maria setter Julia Ramos (Orange, Mass.) had seven assists throughout the match.
Wentworth will be back on the court next Tuesday the 2nd at 7:00 PM as they take on Suffolk University.
Anna Maria is back in action this Monday the 1st as they travel to Pine Manor for a double header with games times at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
