PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Volleyball team stumbled against the Saints of Emmanuel in conference play this evening 3-0 with set scores of 25-8, 25-18, and 25-11 in Boston Massachusetts.
Emmanuel (5-4, 3-0 GNAC) was led by Marissa Cataldo who totaled twelve kills with only three errors. Cataldo was followed by Molly Michaud who managed six kills of her own throughout the match. Of the Saints thirty-seven kills, thirty of them were assisted by Carly Church.
Anna Maria (1-11, 0-2) was led by freshmen outside hitter Taylor Hoffstedt (Lanesborough, Mass.) who tallied four kills in the match. Senior Sarah Lathrop was in a close second place as she accumulated three kills of her own. AMCAT freshmen Julia Ramos (Orange, Mass.) increased her total assists on the season as she put together another double digit night with eleven.
The Saints will be back on the court tomorrow the 27th at 7:00 PM as they face Emerson College.
The AMCATS will be back in action this Saturday the 29th at 11:00 AM as they face off against Wentworth.
