Foti Named to COSIDA Academic All-District Volleyball Team

PAXTON, Mass – While on the field superlatives are important for student-athletes, so is recognition in the classroom. In November, AMCAT senior Rebecca Foti (Bedford, N.H.) was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Volleyball First Team for NCAA Division III – District 1 (MA, ME, NH, VT).

The 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Volleyball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in December.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools, and other affiliations.

While on the court Becca recorded 263 kills, averaging 3.09 kills per set and scored 3.7 points per set on the year. Foti led the team in all of these categories. She appeared in all 26 contests and all 85 sets on the season for AMC.

In the classroom, Rebecca is thriving with a 3.95 GPA. She will graduate in the Spring with a double major in Art Therapy and Psychology.
