PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College women's lacrosse team lost on Wednesday in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action to Norwich University at Caparso Field.

  • Senior midfielder Ashley Rufo (Pittsfield, MA) had two first-period goals to increase her team-leading total to 21 on the year.
  • Sophomore midfielder Raegan Hachey (Winthrop, ME) found the back of the net for the ninth time this year, bringing her season point total to 10 (nine goals and an assist).
  • Sophomore attacker Kyana Altif  (Whitinsville, MA) scored her first goal of the season and the second of her collegiate career with just over seven minutes left in the fourth quarter.
  • Junior goalkeeper Ashley Sheehan (Medford, MA) had four saves and recorded eight ground balls.
  • Three Cadets, Maddie Etherton (Johnstown, NY), Allison Sturgeon (Monticello, IN), and Michalia Furchak (Nyack, NY) finished the game with hat tricks.

The AMCATS will return to the field on Saturday, April 2nd when they will travel to Regis College for a 3 pm game.
