Volleyball Falls to Rivier, 3-0

- PAXTON, MASS: The Anna Maria Volleyball team dropped all three sets to conference opponent Rivier University this evening in the Fuller Center.

 THE BASICS:

- Score: Rivier 3, Anna Maria 0. Set Scores (9-25, 8-25, 14-25)

- Records: Rivier (11-5, 2-0 GNAC), Anna Maria (2-11, 0-3 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders came out swinging from the opening set, as they tallied 32 kills as a team. Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, CY) paced the offense for Riv, finishing with a game high 11 kills. Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, NY) also ended with a game high for the Raiders with 23 assists, along with 3 kills and a service ace.  

-  Bella Kozciak (Westfield, MA) and Taylor Hoffstedt (Lanesborough, MA) led the AMCAT offensive attack with 2 kills apiece. Julia Ramos (Orange, MA) finished with a team high in assists with a total of 5.

-  Serena Dennis (Holyoke, MA) finished with a game high on the defensive side tallying 12 digs throughout the contest.  

UP NEXT:

- Anna Maria returns to action on the 5^th for a conference tri-match at Saint Joseph's College. They will be playing Norwich at 1:00 PM, and SJC at 3:00 PM.
