MIDDLETOWN, CONN – The Men's basketball team traveled to Wesleyan University for the Herb Kenny Tip-of Tournament this weekend where they lost the opening game of the weekend against the Hosts 74-61.

For Anna Maria sophomore forward Mike Rapoza (Charlton, Mass) scored a season-high and game-high 20 points while also pulling down a game-high eight rebounds. Also posting double digit points for the AMCATS was sophomore guard Bobby Perette (Marshfield, Mass) who grabbed 16 of his own off the bench as he went five-of-eight from the field.

On the other side of the ball the Cardinals junior guard Jordan Bonner (Houston, Texas) scored 19 of Wesleyans 71. The Cards also received double digit nights from senior forward JR Bascom (Edina, Minn) and senior forward Nathan Krill (Saint Helena, Calif) who each posted 11 points of their own.
