Armstead Reaches 1000 Career Points in Loss To Elms

PAXTON, MA - On Thursday, February 15th the Anna Maria College men's basketball team hosted the Elms College Blazers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. the AMCATS lost the game 80-66.

The AMCATS struggled in the first half of the game as they went down 44-30 to the Blazers. Turning things around in the second half the AMCATS managed to match the Blazers at 36 points a piece however it wouldnt be enough to give the AMCATS a comback as they still trailed by fourteen points at the end of regulation.

Gabe Armstead was the leader for the AMCATS with 18 points to help him reach his 1,000 career point. Armstead becomes the 25th men's basketball player to reach 1,000 career points in the schools history. In just three years Armstead has accumulated 1,001 points, 121 assists, 119 blocks and an impressive 517 rebounds. We look forward to seeing what the futrue has in store for Gabe!

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, February 17th where they will host the Emmanuel College Saints for Senior Day! Opening tip off is set for 2:00pm.
