Men’s Basketball Shoots Past Bulldogs 81-66

PAXTON, MA. – On Wednesday, January 24th the Anna Maria College men's basketball team hosted the Dean College Bulldogs for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS won the game 81-66.

The AMCATS dominated the first half of the game as they found themselves ahead 40-28 as they half came to a close. Jopaul Mckrieth posted an impressive 17 points throughout the first half shooting 8 for 13 inside the paint. Gabe Armstead helped the AMCATS with 9 points in the first half as well.

The Bulldogs picked up the pace in the second half, however the AMCATS kept their momentum through the end of the game as they put up another 40 points to keep the game out of reach for the Bulldogs. Armstead posted 11 more points in the second half to help the AMCATS secure the win. Mckrieth tallied an impressive 16 points for a total of 33 on the night. The AMCATS would close out the game with a commanding 81-66 lead over the Bulldogs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Jopaul Mckrieth posted a career high of 33 points in the win over the Bulldogs.
  • Gabe Armstead put up a double double performance with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, January 27th where they will host the St. Joseph's College Monks for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening tip off is at 2:00pm at the Fuller Center in Paxton, MA.
