Men's Basketball Pulls out a 74-64 Win Over Saints On Senior Day

PAXTON, MA. – On Saturday, February 17th the Anna Maria College men's basketball team hosted the Emmanuel College Saints for senior day. The AMCATS won the game 74-64.

Both teams put up a good fight, but it was Anna Maria who ultimately secured the win. Taking the lead early at the start of the game, the AMCATS outscored the Saints 34-32 in the first half. After the intermission, the AMCATS maintained their lead as they oustcored the Saints 40-32 giving them a 10 point lead over Emmanuel as time ran out in the second half.

Gabe Armstead had a standout performance for Anna Maria with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. Jopaul Mckrieth also had a strong showing with 26 points and 16 rebounds. On the other side, Zaire Baines and Ryan Grijalva led the scoring for Emmanuel (Mass.) with 17 points each.

Prior to the game the AMCATS celebrated their senior day where they honored Jakai Alexandre for his contributions to the team during his time at Anna Maria.
