AMCAT Men’s Soccer Fall to Suffolk 4-0

Paxton, Mass. - The Anna Maria College men's soccer team faced a tough Suffolk Ram's opponent and fell victim to their GNAC competitor 4-0 at AMCAT field on Saturday afternoon.

The AMCATS played well defensively but it was no match for the Rams onslaught which outshot AMC in the game 24-13. With the loss he AMCATS even their record at 2-2-1 and are 0-2 in conference play. The Rams recorded their first victory of the season and are now 1-5 and 1-1 in the GNAC.

Andres Cohen (Caracas, Venezuela) was the difference maker for the Rams. The senior scored three times and helped his team to victory. He truly was a standout on the field. Freshmen Aaron Haggas (London, England) also added a goal of his own in the win.

AMCAT keeper Andrew Dahl (Marlton, NJ) recorded 8 saves in the game, and kept his team competitive by coming up with some big stops early. Senior Justin Hyland (Leicester, MA) had the best offensive chances for Anna Maria, leading his team in shots with 6.

The AMCATS will travel minutes down Route 56 to Becker College on Tuesday September 24, as they take on the Hawks at 7:00 PM.
