Lady AMCATS Team Up with Team IMPACT

Paxton, Mass. – On Saturday March 1, the Anna Maria College women's soccer team extended their support, friendship, and strength for Jewelia, their newest team member. Jewelia, a 15-year-old from Spencer, MA, was diagnosed with Bilateral Wilms' Tumor, a cancer of the kidneys, at age 4. A year later she was diagnosed with Beckwith-Weidman which predisposes her to 10 different types of cancers. Jewelia still has to make regular trips to her doctors and is home-schooled to accommodate her hectic schedule.
