Bio

Sarah Lathrop enters her second season as the Anna Maria College head volleyball coach heading into the 2022-2023 year. 
 
In 2021, the AMCATS won their first GNAC match since 2017 with a four-set victory over Albertus Magnus College on October 9th. That victory snapped a 34-match winless streak in conference play. 
 
Lathrop was named head coach in the fall of 2020, after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach. 
 
A 2019 graduate of Anna Maria College, Lathrop was a four-year member of the AMCAT volleyball program and served as a captain for her junior and senior seasons. She took part in 103 matches with the AMCATS tallying 271 kills, 129 assists, 374 digs, and 51 total blocks. During her time on the court, she played all positions when called upon and was a true leader of the program.

Lathrop's coaching career started in 2016, where she coached for the CT Velocity Volleyball travel program. She also runs an instructional clinic in Essex, CT.
Lathrop holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Science from Anna Maria and finished her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Becker College in May of 2021.
