Massaro Claims Assist Record as Men’s Lax Crushes Regis
WESTON, MA: The Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team won 15-5 at Regis College on Wednesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action in Weston, Massachusetts.

AMCAT HIGHLIGHTS:
- Anna Maria senior attacker Nick Massaro (West Haven, CT) entered the day need four assists to tie the AMCAT all-time career record of 59. The senior blew past that mark in the first quarter alone, tallying five assists in the opening stanza and assisting on his 60th with a pass to freshman midfielder Zachary Boyd (Bay Shore, NY) to put his team up 6-1 with 57 seconds left, as the Anna Maria bench exploded in celebration. Massaro finished with six assists on the night with two goals.
- Boyd finished with a career-high three goals and one assist, while senior attacker Quinn Hannagan (South Windsor, CT) also finished with a hat trick of three goals.
- Anna Maria freshman midfielder Nathan Powers (Putney, VT) finished with a career-high 17 groundballs, as well as scoring his first career goal. The AMCATS won a program-best 21 faceoffs on the night, all by Powers.
- Freshman attacker Nicolas Pasqualini (Mystic CT) finished with two goals and a pair of ground balls.
- Senior midfielder Malik Pina (Brockton, MA), junior midfielder Tommy Girard (Newbury, MA), sophomore attacker Ethan Quinn (Dudley, MA) and freshman midfielder Hank Gittines (Shrewsbury, NJ) each had a goal on the night.

Anna Maria will be back on the field on Saturday when they host Johnson & Wales in a 12:00 p.m. game. The AMCATS are scheduled to have their senior day prior to the game.
