Men’s Lacrosse Falls To Farmingdale State

PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team lost 18-3 to visiting Farmingdale State on Tuesday evening at Caparso Field in Paxton.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Anna Maria senior midfielder Eric Glover (Baldwinville, MA), already the AMCATS' leading scorer this season, scored his sixth and seventh goals of the year, finding the back of the net with 5:58 to go on the second quarter (assisted by freshman midfielder Brennan Fields (Chicopee, MA)) and with 19 seconds remaining in the third quarter (that coming a pass from senior attacker Nick Massaro (West Haven, CT)). Glover also totaled four ground balls on the day.
  • Anna Maria senior attacker Quinn Hannagan (South Windsor, CT) had made it 1-1 on an unassisted shot with 10:46 to go in the first quarter, his fourth goal of the season.
  • Anna Maria senior goalkeeper Griffin Moore (Worcester, MA) finished with 13 saves on the night.
  • Anna Maria freshman midfielder Nathan Powers (Putney, VT) led the AMCATS with a career-high five ground balls.
  • Farmingdale freshman attacker Thomas Stock (Selden, NY) led the Rams with five goals and two assists on the night.
  • Farmingdale senior attacker Terrence Haggerty (Centerport, NY) posted four goals with one assist, while sophomore attacker Jake Wandle (Rocky Point, NY) had a hat trick.
  • Farmingdale freshman goalkeeper Kevin Loonie (Lynbrook, NY) tallied eight saves in net.

Anna Maria will be back on the field on Saturday when they travel to Albertus Magnus College in a 1:00 p.m. game that will represent their GNAC conference schedule opener.
