Men's Lacrosse Hosts NEC In Home Opener

Paxton, MA: The Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team took the field this afternoon for their home opener against New England College, where they fell 10-16.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Anna Maria senior attacker Quinn Hannagan (South Windsor, CT) finished with a hat trick, scoring half of the AMCATS six goals on the afternoon.
• Junior midfielder Tommy Girard (Newbury, MA) scored his first goal of the season with 9:18 to go in the second quarter.
• Anna Maria senior attacker Nick Massaro (West Haven, CT) senior midfielder Eric Glover (Baldwinville, MA) each had two points on a goal and an assist. Each was responsible for the assists on the others goal.
• Anna Maria senior goalie Griffin Moore (Worcester, MA) had 18 saves for the AMCATS.
• New England College senior attacker Connor Smith (Oakland, ME) finished the night with five goals on 12 shots on goal.

Anna Maria will be back on the field on Saturday, February 26^th when they will host the U.S. Merchant Marines. Game time is 12 noon.
