Anna Maria announces 2017-18 Basketball Schedules

PAXTON, Mass. – With NCAA college basketball practices officially underway around the country for the upcoming season, the Anna Maria College men's and women's basketball schedules have been announced for the 2017-18 campaigns.

The AMCATS men's squad, led by 12th-year head coach Shawn Conrad, will tip off the season on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Becker College at 7:30 p.m., followed by participation in the Wesleyan University Tournament on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 17-18. After playing their first five games on the road, including the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opener at Regis College on Tuesday, Nov. 28, the AMCATS will play their home opener at the Fuller Center on Thursday, Nov. 30, against Bowdoin College (7:00 p.m.)

The AMCATS women's team, led by sixth-year head coach Kevin Bigelow, will also tip off the season on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Becker College at 5:30 p.m. The squad will then play its next three games on home court at the Fuller Center, beginning with a non-conference affair against Ave Maria University (Fla.) on Friday, Nov. 17 at 5:00 p.m. The GNAC opener for the AMCAT women is slated for Saturday, December 2, against Simmons College at the Fuller Center (1:00 p.m.)
