Women's Basketball Dominates Second Half In Win Over Falcons

PAXTON, MA- On Tursday, February 1st the Anna Maria College Women's Basketball team hosted the Fitchburg State University Falcons for a non-conference matchup. the AMCATS won the game 69-50.

The first quarter saw Fitchburg St. take an early lead, scoring 12 points compared to Anna Maria's 5. However, Anna Maria managed to close the gap in the second quarter, scoring 13 points while holding Fitchburg St. to just 6 points. This brought the halftime score to 18-19, giving Anna Maria a slight advantage.

The third quarter saw Anna Maria take control of the game, outscoring Fitchburg St. 18-14. However, it was in the final quarter where Anna Maria truly dominated, scoring 33 points compared to Fitchburg St.'s 18. This strong finish secured Anna Maria's comfortable 69-50 victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Marinique Reddin led the AMCATS with 23 points and 18 rebounds.
• Arianna Saladini had an impressive 17 points in the win.

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, February 3rd where they will head north to New London, NH to take on the Colby Sawyer Chargers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Matchup. Opening tip off is set for 1:00pm.
