Women's Basketball Scratches Past Lyons 60-39

HOLYOKE, MA - On Wednesday, December 6th, the Anna Maria College women's basketball team traveled to Holyoke, MA to take on the Mount Holyoke College Lyons for a non-conference matchup. the AMCATS won the game 60-39.

Throughout the game, Anna Maria's Marinique Reddin displayed exceptional skills, leading her team to victory. Reddin contributed an impressive 27 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Her outstanding performance earned her the Player of the Match title. Reddin's ability to create opportunities on both ends of the court significantly impacted the game's outcome.

Gina Parmenter also played a crucial role in her team's victory, contributing 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists. Parmenter's strategic passing and ability to find open teammates were essential in creating scoring opportunities for Anna Maria.

Mount Holyoke struggled to find their rhythm throughout the game. Katie Rha was the highest scorer for Mount Holyoke, contributing 8 points and 8 rebounds. However, Mount Holyoke struggled as a team, shooting only 32% from the field and 15% from beyond the arc. 

Defensively, Anna Maria was impressive, recording 6 blocks and forcing Mount Holyoke into 18 turnovers. The team's ability to disrupt Mount Holyoke's offense and create turnovers played a significant role in their victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Marinique Reddin posted a season high of 27 points against the Lyons.
• Madison Paulhus had a season high of 10 points in the matchup.
• This marks the AMCATS fourth win in the last five games.
