Sempkowski made his way to first on a fielder's choice, Evan Barrera put the Hawks in front 3-0 with a triple to centerfield. Barrera would eventually score on a wild pitch to increase the lead to 4-0.
After Becker starting pitcher Nicholas Hawrylciw retired the first 13 batters he faced, Anna Maria's Dylan Carissimo (Tamp, Fla.) broke up the no-hit bid with a single to center. Jacob Zamora (Alachua, Fla.) doubled to center, putting runners at second and third. Trevor Brown then plated both runners with a double into the left centerfield gap, cutting the Hawks lead to 4-2.

The Hawks responded with two runs in the bottom of the seventh on single by T.J. Sempkowski to increase the Becker lead to 6-2.
